How The Truck Project handles website activity and email correspondence, including the role of Vercel hosting infrastructure.
This page describes The Truck Project's website and the distinction between browsing its pages and contacting the publication by email.
Website features
The application does not include analytics, advertising pixels, newsletter signup, contact forms, accounts or comments. It does not maintain a reader account or subscriber database. The contact page provides an email link that opens your own mail application rather than submitting information through this website.
The application's own code does not set cookies or write to local storage or session storage. These statements describe the website's features, not a promise that browsing is anonymous or that hosting infrastructure receives no information.
Hosting
The website is hosted on Vercel. Requests pass through its hosting and delivery infrastructure. Vercel's privacy policy describes its collection of traffic information for customer websites, including end-user IP addresses, location information derived from IP addresses, and system configuration information.
Vercel's network delivery and security processing is separate from an analytics or advertising service integrated into our pages. This website does not promise a particular hosting-log retention period or anonymity from the hosting provider. See Vercel's policy for its description of that processing.
Email correspondence
For editorial questions, corrections or privacy inquiries, email hello@thetruckproject.com. Your address, message and attachments are handled by the email services used to send and receive the message. This is separate from browsing the site.
Include only information relevant to your inquiry. Do not send sensitive personal records. We do not state a fixed retention period or automatic-deletion guarantee for correspondence. You can use the same address to ask about information you have sent.
Links and changes
Articles link to source documents and other websites. Following those links takes you to services with their own privacy practices. Those links are not embedded advertising or analytics integrations.
